Membership in Tulsa Vette Set, the premier Corvette club of northeast Oklahoma, brings a host of fun ways to enjoy your passion. These include events, road trips, community service and member meetings, just to name a few. All done with a group of fun-loving, Corvette owners you will soon call friends.
Events
We hold many different events throughout the year, with something for everyone. Just a sample — We have cruises to out-of-town restaurants, we participate in parades, we attend Vettogethers (monthly dinner at a local restaurant), we have parties, etc. – whenever there’s a chance to drive and eat, we take advantage of it. We have last minute get-togethers and lots of car shows.
We participate in just about any car show that will have us, including the Tulsa Little Light House Car Show, and shows at Corvette Weekend venues such as Hot Springs and Eureka Springs. We also work car related events to raise money through our participation and judging.
We hold a few racing events, and some members attend competitive racing events hosted by other clubs in our region. There are other non-Corvette clubs in the Tulsa area that invite us to participate in autocrosses, and maybe a drag race event or two. These events will give you an opportunity to learn just how well your car performs and handles.
Trips
We take many one day cruises, some overnight trips and at least one multi-day trip to various attractions or events. We have been on caravans to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, spent a week in Colorado touring the Rocky Mountains, attended the Bloomington Gold Corvette event and traveled across South Dakota for the Black Hills Corvette Classic.
The Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend is probably our favorite fall event. We are part of the unique group that puts it on – we sponsor the Fuel Economy Run event and the Quick 60 event – and we are usually the best-attended club! This is always a classic event, held in the September – October timeframe, so mark it on your calendar now.
Community Service
The Little Light House is the primary beneficiary of our support and service. It is a great opportunity for us to give to a local organization that helps so many. But our community service also extends to the Toys-for-Tots program, support of the John 3:16 Mission with food drives, and support of the Cleveland Food Pantry.
Meetings
Each month, at the Little Light House, we hold our business meeting. This forum allows members to gather and find out what’s going on. It’s open to the public and is a perfect opportunity for you to meet the members of the club. We occasionally have a Food Night, so get there on early and bring your own drink.
Directors meetings are held once a month. These meetings are open to all members, and they are held on the third Thursday following the business meeting.
